Dear Students,
We know how difficult the process of moving away from your home can be. In order to make it little bit easier on you we would like to share with you a few tips.
Step One: Find a property that you would like to live in. In order to find the perfect property for you, start looking early. We start our pre-leasing process in the middle of March each year. Landmark Real Estate Management offers a variety of student - friendly rentals on and off Western Washington University’s campus. To find your new home look at Residential Listings. We will provide a description of the property that will give you all of the information about the rental; monthly rent amount, security deposit, square footage of the unit, etc. If you would like to get more details about the rental, you can always call or email us.
Step Two: The description of the unit will give you information about the monthly Rent and Security Deposit. Rents and Security Deposits in All Properties are subject to change at any time and are not guarantee. The Security Deposit is a one time charge and needs to be paid prior to move in. Please make sure that the Rent and Security Deposit will fit into your budget before you apply for the unit.
Step Three: Each adult 18 years or older must fill out a Rental Application. In order to qualify you have to meet the application criteria. (You can find the list of criteria on the first page of the Rental Application). Most of the students that are renting from us have to provide us with a Co-Signer Application due to low credit or income criteria. Please notice that a Co-Signer Application must be notarized. Your Co-signer Application does not need to be notarized if your Co-Signer delivers the application in person to our office. Please contact us if you have any questions about the application process.
Step Four: Submitting your Rental Application. The Rental Application fee is $30 and the Co-signer Application fee is $15. At the time of submitting your applications we will make copies of your 2 valid ID’s. If you can not submit all the documents at once we will give you 72 hours to submit the missing documents. Please be prepared to pay your Security Deposit with your application fees.
Step Five: Your application has been approved! Your Property Manager will contact you to sign a Lease Agreement shortly after your application has been approved.
Step Six: Moving in. Get your family and friends to help you and have fun and welcome to our community!
